Lenovo Goes For Cheap Laptops

Lenovo Goes For Cheap LaptopsThe computing industry is currently on an ascending path and more and more users are seeking to get rid of their desktop systems and switch over to notebooks and laptops. Traditionally, the side of the industry was accessible with only some serious spending as some time ago a modest level or came with a price tag that was at least double when compared with a similarly equipped desktop.

In order to attract more and more users to the side of the fence, manufacturing companies are now adopting a different strategy as they release both very expensive and affordable solutions that are aimed at attracting users without big financial possibilities.

Among those companies there is the Chinese outfit that just announced the launch of its G series of systems which are meant to represent a budget offering for value-conscious customers that are looking to exchange the desktop system with a solution. While not really impressive on the hardware specifications side, the G400 comes with a decent enough performance level as it features an Intel Core 2 Duo T2080 central processing unit that runs at 1.73GHz, has a 533MHz frontside bus and uses 1mB of L2 cache memory.

On the display side the G400 is equipped with a 14.1-inch widescreen that is capable of displaying high definition resolutions. A multi function 4 in 1 card reader is also integrated into this as is a modem and a Bluetooth 2.0 adapter. Like the ThinkPad editions, the G series comes with a full sized keyboard and an integrated microphone and a Realtek High Definition Audio processing unit for crystal clear sounds.
