Setup Your Own Radio Station on Windows OS
I know there is a lot of guys out there who are really fascinated by the people down radio show and always wish to have one, including me. Well, now you can get your own radio show and your own radio station.
This tutorial required a bit of your computer skills to setup your radio station.
To begin with, you need ShoutCast, Winamp, and a good internet connection to host your radio station.
First, get you need Winamp, itâs a free software, you can easily download it here. Then get Shoutcast D.N.A.S. You also need Shoutcast DSP plug-in for Winamp.
Now, after installing Winamp, install Shoutcast D.N.A.S and then Shoutcast DSP plugin for Winamp. Now go to C:\Program Files\SHOUTcast (or your Winamp installation directory) and find sc_serv.ini and open it in Notepad.
When you open the file in Notepad, find âPassword=changemeâ and add what ever password you want in place of âchangemeâ leaving the quotes intact. Ill choose âhitsgardenâ.
Then find âPortBase=8000â and change â8000â to what ever port you like, may be â3344â, and then save the file. Now open sc_serv.exe in C:\Program Files\Shoutcast\.
Now, open Winamp and press Ctrl + P, you will find DSP/Effect of the left side, click on it. On the right side, double click on âNullsoft Shoutcast Source DSP v1.9.0â and a window will pop up. Click on the Encoder Tab and choose âMP3 Encoderâ and at the encoder settings choose 96kbps, 44100kHz, Stereo.
Now, go to Output. Find the Output configuration group. At the address put your ip address, click here to find out your ip address, and at the port, put in the same port you used in sc_serv.ini (3344). At the password, put in the same password you used earlier (gravityblue) and then click the yellow pages button. At the description field, put in the station name you want, like let it be Gravity Blue Radio. Then put in the URL of your website, you can also add genres you want to play on your radio.
You are almost done now, put in the music you want to be played on your Radio Station and your station is up. You can share your radio station by giving your friends the link below and they can listen the music you play in your winamp:
http://yourip:yourport/listen.pls.
Also, when you close your winamp, your Radio station will be down, so you need to keep your winamp running as long as you want your radio station to be up.

It won’t let me save the changes in the sc_serv.ini file. It’s not letting me save it no matter what. What should I do?
