How many of you have ever wondered about how a song played on, say, the Martian surface would actually sound? Assuming you pressed the “play” button on a Hi-Fi audio system, would Bach’s famous âToccata and Fugue in D Minorâ sound the same as on Earth, as you would expect? Scientists say that no, it would not, and explain why. Just like the outer space causes sound to travel with extremely high difficulty, because it lacks a proper propagation medium, so does the less dense atmosphere of other planets.
This is why, in the Martian atmosphere, for instance, you would barely hear anything at all, let alone perceive every note or, even less likely, enjoy the richness of Bach’s music. “Sound doesn’t travel very far on Mars,” explained Amanda Hanford, an acoustics doctoral degree candidate at Penn State University. I have been using winamp from a long time as a music player, it is I think the best player which is free also, but initially when I use winamp for the first time I found a issue in it.
Let me tell you how does it happen.
I used to enqueue some songs from different directory locations ,and issue arises when accidentally I double click on any .mp3 file due to which all the playlist which I collected in winamp got evaded in seconds and the only songs which remain there is that on which I have accidentally double clicked. “What day is today, honey?” “I donât know, some dude stole my golden calendar!” This makes no sense, does it? Well, for the ones that can really afford one of these, it shouldnât come as a surprise at all. The Japanese really know how to live like Hollywood brats. They have recently introduced a brand new shiny calendar, made of 100% pure gold. It shines, itâs heavy and it tells the date.
Besides the possibility of seeing it in 50 Centâs new music video, I can imagine a couple of moguls hanging one of these exclusivist dandy accessories in their bathroom, right next to their iPod Jacuzzi. What I donât like is the “Tale of Genji” set of printed images they used as a background of the calendar.
Quite dull, for such an eccentric stuff. Regarding the calendarâs technical specs, you should just know that it measures 67 cm x 42cm and weighsâŠ6 kilos!? Oh my, you could feed an entire nation if you sell 6 kilos of pure gold. So I guess this is one thing you wonât be able to ask Santa to bring you for Christmas. Read the rest of this entry »
