using camera readable barcodes 150x150 Using camera readable barcodesMicrosoft has released both a new highly reliable & resilient computer-readable graphical code called “Tags” that are designed for rapid recognition and interpretation to enable people to post graphical objects on web sites, business cards, corporate literature, etc. and enable the average cell phone to:

1. READ/INTERPRET A TAG
It will enable the camera on the cell phone to capture the graphic through a viewfinder that is shown on the phone’s screen and interpret it into an Internet URL.

2. VISIT/SAVE/EMAIL THE URL
Once interpreted, the URL is then fed into the phone’s Internet browser for immediate resolution. The URL can also be automatically emailed or stored for future reference. Read more

google chrome 150x150 Google Enters The Browser BusinessJust a couple days ago Google released its own version of a web browser, dubbed Google Chrome. This is exciting news, because it now increases the pressure on Firefox and Internet Explorer to be all that they can be. It’s even surprising, considering that Google and Firefox were business partners in advertising. Just a while ago Google Adsense was paying people for referring people to Firefox.

Google Chrome has a unique minimalist look that easily separates itself from other browsers. The browser bars are not cluttered full of different options, menus and toolbars, instead it only features your most used browser features, like the back and forward arrows, bookmark button, bookmark toolbar address bar, go button, and two pull down icons for page settings and internet options. It’s “easier and lighter in mobile circumstances corresponding to the 3.5G, 4G communication standard.” Basically it projects the letters onto the three segments of each finger, and you push what you want. I think this is a pretty clever idea, but I don’t need one. Because I don’t have a cell phone. Or a land line. I have two rusty soup cans and a very long string. Which is ultra high technology. Cell Phone Jammer Is Awesome, AffordableThe Palm Phone Jammer is a cell phone jammer than can effectively shut down GSM 850-, 900-, 1,800-, and 1,900-MHz cell phone calls in a 30 foot radius. Oh happy day! The unit costs a paltry $166, which is a steal. My old cell phone jammer looked a lot like me waving a gun and yelling obscenities, so this might not only jam calls, but lower my blood pressure. Two birds stoned at once. Although gun waving is fun. I doubt you’re going to get anyone to shit their pants with this thing.
