How to show off your summer photos to the whole family
No doubt as soon as you got back from your holidays you were impatient to import your holiday pics into Windows Photo Gallery. However, once youâve played around with them, itâs a real shame to leave them just sitting on your PC. Using Windows Vista weâve found 10 ways you can share your snaps, and make sure those summer memories never die.
1. Account sharing
When you import your photos to Windows Photo Gallery members of your family with different user accounts wonât be able to see them as theyâll be saved on your profile. Let them join in by sharing the folders.
2. Shared folders
To share your snaps with people who donât use your computer, try Windows Live Messenger. In a conversation look at the toolbar, click Share Files > Open your sharing folder and drag and drop any files or folders you wish. These will transfer to your friendâs PC in seconds.

Microsoft has overhauled its MSN City Guides online destination providing users with a range of enhancements better suited to connect them with locations, businesses, and events across US cities. MSN City Guides is a local offering from the Redmond company tailored specifically to the US market. The main aspect of the evolution of MSN City Guides is that the service is now designed to go well beyond MSN and integrate Windows Live and Facebook. Over 5,000 cities in the United States have been reviewed, with the content available to users immediately.

Nokia E52 Unveiled to the World
It seems that today Polish mobile phone users in Warsaw could have a look at yet another nice mobile phone the Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia unveiled in the country, the Nokia E52, which is reported to boast impressive talk time, namely eight full hours on a single charge. The new handset comes to the market both as an upgrade to the popular E51 as well as a traditional candybar version of the E75.
Our own Cosmin Vasile was at the event, which celebrates 1 million Eseries handsets sold in Poland since 2007, and he says that, among the specifications that the new Nokia E52 comes with, we can count the 2.4-inch display that can provide a 320 x 240 pixel QVGA resolution as well as support for 16 million colors, and a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper, which also sports flash, noise cancellation technology and 3G, HSDPA, HSUPA, WLAN and EGPRS connectivity. Windows Live Spaces Explodes
Don’t rule Windows Live Spaces out of the race for eyeballs on the social networking world just yet. Over the past year, the Redmond company’s online social hotspot delivered a consistent evolution in terms of the audience it managed to attract. According to Marketing Charts, and based on statistics compiled by Nielsen Online, Microsoft has gathered quite a crowd to Windows Live Spaces. At this point in time, Windows Live Spaces occupies the fourth position in the top 10 social networking sites for the U.S. market.
Nielsen Online revealed that Windows Live Spaces grew 8% in the past year. Between November 2006 and November 2007, the number of Windows Live Spaces unique users exploded from 8.8 million to 9.5 million, per month. But, in terms of the actual growth rate, Live Spaces outperformed the top social networking destination in the U.S. – MySpace.com. Read more
Facebook Not Safe for Work
We all know Facebook is a real phenomenon on the Internet but when it is accessed from other places than your personal computer, it instantly becomes a serious matter. Security company Sophos conducted a special research to find out how many employees access Facebook from work and how often they do it. No more than 37.2 percent of the total 500 Facebook users who answered the questionnaire said they access the social network website one or twice a day from their workstation, while 8 percent admitted they visit the page up to ten times a day. The juicy part is that 14.8 percent of the respondents said they are permanently connected to Facebook during their work time.
“The results show that more than one fifth of these Facebook users are actually Facebook abusers. They’re seriously struggling to tear themselves away from the website when they should be concentrating on their jobs – disturbing news for all organizations that are still allowing employees uncontrolled access,” said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant at Sophos. Google Gets More Social with Facebook Apps
Following last week’s release of Google Maps Profiles, the Mountain View company gets more social by designing Facebook applications which are meant to integrate the giant’s technology into users’ profiles. Today’s utility is intuitively named ‘Google News Application for Facebook’, allowing Facebook registered members to get their favorite headlines straight into the profile pages. The configuration process is pretty rich, asking users to select from numerous categories including entertainment news, world news, business news or sports news.
